Ingredients
Refined flour (maida)-2 cups
Salt- to taste
Sugar-2 tsps
Milk- ¾ cup + 3 tbsps
Saffron -a few strands
Kewra essence- 2-3 drops
Desi ghee- ¼ cup
Butter- 2 tbsps + for greasing
Method of preparation
1.Sieve refined flour with salt. Dissolve sugar in three-fourth cup of warm milk and saffron in the remaining three tablespoons of warm milk.
2.Add the dissolved sugar and two to three drops of kewra essence to the sieved flour. When fully mixed, add one-eighth cup of water and knead into
a soft dough. Cover with a wet muslin cloth and keep aside for ten minutes.
3.Melt ghee and add it to the dough and incorporate it well. Knead again into a soft dough. Cover and keep aside for ten minutes.
4.Divide the dough into sixteen equal sized portions and form into balls, cover and keep aside for ten minutes.
Microwave:
1.Use glass plate.
2.Pre-heat to 230c (press convection once and then press start)
3.Use combination mode (Comb1 at 230c) Press combination once and then rotate the menu to adjust the time to 8 minutes and then press start.
4.After 8 minutes cook for 2 more minutes after applying saffron milk.
5.Cook for total 10 minutes. 8 minutes before applying safronmilk and 2 minutes after it.
